And with that brilliant one-line opening, Weezer is automatically one of the coolest bands around. Their video "Buddy Holly" is directed by Spike Jonze, one of the most creative men directing anything at this time, and uses the backdrop of Happy Days to perform their hit song about Buddy Holly and Mary Tyler Moore. It's amazing what can be done with editing. This song comes off of the Weezer's blue album, an album which myself, my brother and my sister all own a copy. One ,because we're horrible at sharing and two, it's just that amazing of an album we all needed to have our own copy.
