Today is Friday and that only means one thing - the weekend has arrived! Though this weekend won't be a normal one. Usually on weekends, I'm extremely lazy but my dad is coming to stay with me because he has meetings in Chicago for work. He doesn't let me be lazy. And also, I have that company end of the year dinner tomorrow night, which I'm looking forward to though Linda is a bit disappointed that I won't have a designated driver with me. Don't worry Linda. I'll do my best to knock a couple back with you. From what I've heard, our boss Bob has a little too much fun at dinners like this and apparently last year, some of the people in the office were a little hesitant to let him drive home. It should be enjoyable to see my boss like that. He's usually in a tough situation, at least I think so. He used to be one of the guys in the cubicles and now he's their boss. It must be a little bit strange for him at times though he's a perfectly nice man.
Mark, one of our electrical contractors, sent me a request for bid today that's due on Jan. 16. It's not a big quote by any means but the job it's for is quite intersting. I have to put together a lighting quote for Indiana State Prison. More specifically, I have to quote an electrical renovation for Death Row. No, I am not kidding. Linda's eyes bugged out of her head when I told her. But people on Death Row need lights to see too.
