The Wrong Season
It's raining again today. And it's a bit warm out too. 50 degrees and rain - in the middle of December! I don't get it and not only that but I don't like it. It isn't supposed to be like this during this time of the year, especially around Chicago. Where's the snow and the ice and the blistering winds that hurt your skin and feel as if you're being stabbed? Where is the winter? It feels like spring outside and I'm worried the trees will mistake the season and start to bloom and then when, if, it ever does get cold, they'll all die. That's quite possible. I'm wearing a short sleeve shirt to work today with my yellow rain coat. No sweaters and heavy toggle coats today. I'd probably die of heat stroke if I wore what one is usually supposed to wear in December. Christmas is 13 days away and I'm going to be pissed if it's raining instead of snowing. If I wanted anything except a white Christmas, I would move out of the Midwest.
