I'm Alive

Yes, I know it's been a long time since the last post and I'm sorry about that. It's not as if things haven't been happening in my life. I just get distracted easily and I am horrible at multi-tasking. I've been bitten by the writing bug and so far, within the past month, I have written four short stories and I'm working on my fifth at the moment. Hopefully, one day, all of these writings I have will amount to something.

Linda is out of town this week so I'm sure it's easy to imagine how stressed I am. And to add to that, today, my glasses broke so I was nearly blind for two hours before I could get home and put on my old pair of glasses. I'm so glad my mother makes me travel everywhere with a spare pair of glasses because I seriously am blind when I'm not wearing them. I'm heading back to Ohio for Mother's Day and I have a hair appointment, a dentist appointment and now I also have to go to the eye doctor's, all on Friday. Good thing I took the day off and gave myself a three-day weekend because I have a lot to take care of that weekend.

Easter was fun. My mom, dad, Bill and Chrissy all came and stayed with me for the weekend. I love my family. I really do despite my constant bitching about them. Saturday night, we had our family dinner with ham, Polish sausage, potato salad, the whole spread, and then on Sunday, we met with Anita, Ray, Auntie Jo and Uncle Steve for Easter Brunch. It was a delicious all-you-can eat buffet. I was stuffed and didn't eat the rest of the day. Aunt Helen and Uncle Duke came by in the evening and I really should go see them considering they live ten minutes away from me.

On Tuesday, my mom and dad drove down to Arkansas to visit my mom's mother for her 80th birthday and I was in charge of babysitting Maxwell. Taking care of two dogs was slightly exhausting, especially since Maxwell hates Baxter and ages about forty years whenever he has to deal with the much more energetic puppy. Baxter adores him though and follows him everywhere so really, for four days, Maxwell distracted him.

I really am sorry my lack of updates. I have had people ask me if I'm still alive and obviously, I still am. I just haven't been able to write stories like this for a long time so I am taking advantage. I'll try not to go almost three weeks without posting again.

Is it "baby sitting" or dog sitting ?

Maxwell is not a baby.

It was great seeing everyone.

The brunch was great, but you failed in your goal of 10 trips to the buffet line.
