Feb. Blizzard '07

These are just a few pictures I took of the snow outside today after yesterday's and last night's snow storm. We got about another 1 1/2 inch today but after all we already got, it didn't really do anything. My shoulders hurt from shoveling and I wasn't able to get my car out of my garage without risk of getting stuck so I didn't go to work today. Linda called me around two o'clock today to see how I was doing. It made me happy and glad to know that I have a boss that seems to genuinely care about me.

My dad told me that he heard on the news that for the Chicago area, this is the new record for snow fall in February so I'm so glad that I was living here to witness it. (insert sarcasm here) I enjoyed my unexpected day off though. I watched some episodes of Rome, wrote a little bit and then in the evening, I watched The Departed, which I had pre-ordered and arrived today. I'm not going to like going into work tomorrow but at least it will be Thursday and the weekend is almost here.

Katie You'd better be careful. With those snow drifts I'm sure Baxter can jump that fence!

Baxter looks like he was made for snow country !

Bill is right for once. Baxter can use the high snow drifts to propel himself over the fence !

Bennington had over 24 inches of snow as of Weds. night. And Chrissy does not have a winter coat !

O'Hare's 10.3" tally was its heaviest this season and established a new Feb. 13 record.

But, that total was dwarfed by the 14.6" reported at Whiting, Indiana, 12" in west suburban Batavia, 11.2" at Morton Arboretum and 11" at Arlington Heights and Oak Brook.

Looks like Niles really got pounded - is Jimmy alive ?
