So Early

My dad came home around 11:30, or midnight, last night from a business dinner and he came bearing Italian left overs for me to eat at lunch today and news about the Buckeyes getting creamed by the Gators. He couldn't have been happier about it. And this morning, when I was up so ridiculously early that even Baxter is still in bed asleep, my dad got up to tell me about listening to all of the wonderful highlights from the game. He was a little confused as to why I was up so early and after I told him I was working full-time now, he told me about the game. To see my father so excited about something at 6:30 in the morning is a pretty funny sight.

I haven't been up this early since high school, which makes me wonder about how I used to do this every morning for four years. Even when I was in college and had class at 8 a.m., I didn't get up until at least 7:15. I got up at 6:15 today and I felt like I was dying. What a horrible thing to have to do to someone. I thought being an adult was supposed to be cool. What's with all of the torturing? I am eating breakfast though for the first time since ... I can't even remember when. I have to wait four hours now instead of three so having my stomach completely empty for that time wouldn't be very pleasant. Mmmmmm. I love strawberry jam on toast.

First, they were not just "Italian leftovers" it was food from IL Mulino!

Even Dominic and Uncle Eugenio would be impressed.

And Baxter was not sleeping. He was up since 5:30 when the paper was delivered.
