After spending most of the night up and awake (thank you Baxter), this was not pleasant news to greet me this morning. Fox has canceled teen soap drama The OC. This really makes me mad because this season, the fourth season, was actually so much better than the previous season and all I can think of now is Mischa Barton, who I do not like, laughing because the show got canceled after she left last season. She probably thinks that the show couldn't survive without her. I am not ashamed to admit that I am an OC fan. I can thank Melissa for that who really got into the show the summer that it premiered and then introduced me to it during our sophomore year. I own the first two seasons on DVD and now it looks like I will have to buy the fourth, and sadly, the last now too. The series finale airs on Thursday, Feb. 22. I shouldn't be surprised that Fox canceled a show with a devoted following but less than stellar ratings. Cough! Firefly. Cough! Arrested Development. Not that The OC is as good as those two shows but it's a hell of a lot better than "The War at Home", which yes. Fox still has that one airing.

Goodbye to the O.C.

What?!!?!?! No, Katie! Say it isn't so! Summer and Ryan still have to get together but I knew that wouldn't happen until at least season 6! Damn it!
