Best News Ever

I went to go talk to Bob today after lunch to discuss using the rest of my vacation days at Christmas. I started working there with six vacation days. I used one during Labor Day weekend for Starla and Dave's wedding, one for that Wednesday before Thanksgiving and that left me with four. I definitely needed December 22, next Friday, off and despite me thinking that Bob would be hesitant to give me that day, he gave it with no problem. He then informed me that we would be using a floater holiday on Tuesday the 26th. Floater holidays are days the company gives employees to use as "holidays" like the day after Thanksgiving and in this case, the day after Christmas. So we were discussing the rest of my week. He and Linda both just said to take the rest of the week off. Whoa. I wasn't expecting that. I am getting eleven days off in all because we also get January 1st, New Years Day, off. So I leave work on Thursday, December 21st, and won't go back to work until the 2nd of next year. I'm sorry but that's incredible! Eleven days off and I'm only using four vacation days! Now that's madness! Sweet sweet wonderful madness.
