Journalist Ed Bradley died today at the age of 65 from leukemia. Perhaps I'm a bit slow but I didn't even know that he had leukemia. Bradley had spent 26 years on the news show 60 Minutes, which was a popular staple with my parents every Sunday night in our house. In one of my journalism classes, we had to read about him since he was probably one of the most well-known and important pioneering black journalists in history. This seemed kind of sudden to me. I left for lunch and when I came back, this was posted on the front page of USA Today. I'm trying to remember whether or not my father liked him. My dad has odd reasons for liking or disliking famous people. I can't remember his opinion on Ed Bradley though.
