Much Better Without Tom

Nicole Kidman is one of my favorite actresses so I was pleased to see that a list of her top 5 films had been composited. Moulin Rouge is my personal favorite of hers but I'd also take The Others, To Die For and The Interpreter. Even though it has one of the best soundtracks ever created, I like to ignore the making of Cold Mountain for, though while Jude Law looks like he's been to hell and back, Nicole on the other hand looked as if she was modeling designer coats on the top of a snowy mountain. I just didn't buy her as a Civil War "I've had to work really hard on a farm to survive" kind of girl. But Moulin Rouge, besides being one of the best films of 2001, it, in my opinion, was what was responsible for bringing musicals back to the big screen and NOT Chicago, which is the popular thought. And damn. Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor can sing.
