Crispy Cookies

What's a better thing to do on a rainy cold Saturday afternoon than bake cookies? Of course, the cookies weren't cooked from scratch. They were just the kind where you heat the oven then rip them apart, put them on a cookie sheet and shove them in the heat. But still, I'm proud of myself. I'm becoming a bit more comfortable with the oven and the stove. The oven never beeped when it reached the preheated temperature and then when I put the cookies in for 18 minutes, the timer never beeped when it was done and since I wasn't paying attention to the time, they stayed in there a bit longer then needed and now the edges are a bit crisped and hard. I'm disappointed but I definitely will be baking cookies again. I love cookies.

Your ahead of me, Katie. I can't even make these kinds of cookies without setting the fire alarm off.
