A New Look for 20-Something

If you hadn’t noticed or if you think you’re insane, yes. The blog has a new look today. Since blue is one of my favorite colors [I couldn’t find a yellow option], I decided to change the template from green to blue. But looking at it now, I think that it might be too much blue. Let me know what you think. I’ll probably fool around with it. I can never seem to stay with one thing for too long.

Yesterday after work, I went over to Target to pick up a few things i.e. a skirt for Heidi’s wedding even though Chrissy and I wanted to dress me up in a Green M&M Halloween costume. We asked and Heidi said she wouldn’t mind – as long as it wasn’t the rapper Eminem, which she initially thought when we asked her. But I somehow doubted that my mom would let me attend the wedding dressed up as a green chocolate covered candy, so I had to go get something deemed “appropriate attire”. While there, I also picked up a gray sweater, some hand soap for the bathroom and the kitchen, and a new dog toy for Baxter – a stuffed dog bone that’s about the same length as him. It’s hilarious to see him trotting around the house with it in his mouth. He does have his cute moments though I make a point to tell him otherwise. I also bought every box of Dark Raisinets that Target had and gave one to Linda this morning, which she was ecstatic over since we’re both addicted now.

I paid off my credit card but since I was so close to my limit and I just mailed the check yesterday, I was afraid to use it to buy my stuff so I wrote a check. Big mistake especially since it was an Ohio check with an Ohio driving license. It took about 10 minutes for the dumb cashier to process my check with an ever-growing line behind me. I felt horrible. I’m not writing another check here until I declare myself an Indiana citizen – which I’m a bit hesitant to do so I guess no more checks for a while. When I go grocery shopping tonight, nothing but cash is going to be used. To cheer me up though, I went to Around the Clock and got some of their lemon rice soup to go. I’m convinced it’s the best soup in the world.
