Water, Water Everywhere

It has been raining on and off here since Monday. But today is definitely the worst. It started last night with a few drops falling that escalated to a thunder/lighting storm over night that led to flooding today. I have been up since 6:30 this morning and it hasn’t stopped raining once. And this isn’t a drizzle I’m talking about. This is a steady downpour. The city and surrounding areas are being flooded. The parking lot to the office across the street from mine has cars with water up to their trunks. The fire hydrant in the ditch long since disappeared. Bob, our boss, left the office to go to a meeting and called Linda as he was driving down the street. He was nervous because the water was really deep but he was driving behind a truck, which was causing torrents so he could drive with the truck a bit better but still. I have to go home for lunch to let Baxter out. I just hope I CAN get home. I drive a stupid Intrigue. I keep begging my dad for an SUV. An SUV would kick this flood’s ass!
