Stranger than Fiction

This week, my Netflix movie was Stranger than Fiction starring Will Ferrell, Emma Thompson, Dustin Hoffman and Maggie Gyhllenhaal. This was not the typical Will Ferrell movie so if you're looking for the next Anchorman or Talladega Nights, then this movie really isn't for you. Everyone gives a spectacular performance, especially Ferrell and Thompson, and when the end credits role, I felt myself feeling happy. A movie that puts you in a good mood is always a movie worth watching.

Karen Effiel is an author writing her latest novel about an isolated man named Harold Crick. What she doesn't know is that her fictionalized character is real. The real Harold Crick is an IRS agent who has lived a dull existence and one day begins to hear Karen's voice as she narrates what she puts on paper to what Harold has and is doing.

It's a completely original and wonderful plot and those are two things rarely seen in Hollywood movies nowadays.
