Writer's Block No More

Something wonderful happened to me when I was back in Ohio for Thanksgiving. For the past few months, I have had the worst case of writer's block. I haven't been able to write a single word to one of the dozens of unfinished stories I have, let alone think of any ideas that were remotely creative. But that Wednesday before the holiday, I woke up and with Maxwell and Baxter sleeping around me, I began to write and found myself unable to stop. It's such a wonderful sensation to finally be able to do something again after being unable to. I was worried that when I returned to Indiana, the block would once again appear but so far, that hasn't been the case. I've written more in these past couple of weeks than I have in the past few months! To anyone that has suffered through writer's block, you know exactly what I'm feeling from creativity again. It's such a sense of accomplisment and excitement. Since I don't have a proper desk here to write at, unlike my desk in my bedroom in Ohio, I'm even more excited to go to Ikea tomorrow and invest in one.

I love that feeling when the writer's block passes and you feel free. It is as if the pen takes over and does everything for you.
