Dreamgirls

I hate Beyonce, Jamie Foxx, and am completely indifferent towards Eddie Murphy. So why then and I am excited to see the new movie Dreamgirls over my Christmas vacation? Well, one big reason is that it's a musical and though I still despise Chicago, everyone has to support the musical revival in cinema. But the big reason I'm so excited is because it's about a 60's girl group. I adore music from this time. And though The Supremes is the girl group Dreamgirls is supposedly based on, my favorite girl group of all time is The Shirelles, responsible for awesome classics like "One Fine Day", "Leader of the Pack", "Going to the Chapel of Love", and my personal favorite "Please Mr. Postman". But nonetheless, Dreamgirls is about the music from this time period and that's a big enough reason to get me to the theater. I've actually been listening to the soundtrack all morning because VH1 is being awesome and is streaming the entire soundtrack for free. God, I love this music.
