I was watching Cops this evening on Court TV as I do almost every evening since it's one of my favorite shows and then stuck around to watch Investigators. This episode, they're exploring maximum prisons and I found out this fact that I just had to write down so I don't forget it. Did you know the average life expectancy of a maximum prison guard is only 55 years old? That's a little scary.
