The Radisson Debacle

Melissa and I were going to rake the insane amount of leaves that cover my front yard today and we even went to Menard’s to get lawn bags but after about 45 minutes of work, we realized that this was going to be too hard to do and if Melissa and me are anything, we’re quitters. I’m going to work on it this entire week and hopefully finish this week-end. That’s how many leaves are covering my yard. It’s going to take me forever to rake them all up. I know Baxter won’t be pleased. He loves running through the leaves.

I got to work a half day on Friday so I could spend time with Melissa without having to leave her with the dog for longer than necessary. Linda is going to be on vacation all next week so let’s hope I can get through this next week without her. I’m kind of, only slightly, completely terrified. Friday night though I saw what has to be one of the greatest movies and that’s just not my biased opinion. The Departed was beyond amazing. If Leonardo DiCaprio doesn’t get nominated for his performance, it just proves how stupid the academy is. I don’t think he’s ever acted better. And this movie is just Martin Scorsese’s triumphant return to the genre of movies that made him – a good violent dramatic filled mob story. I definitely want to see this movie again and again before I buy it.

Saturday, we went down to Rt. 30 which is an absolute insane thing to do on a Saturday. We drove up the road looking for Culver’s and passed it on the way back. Of course, we didn’t spot it until I had already passed it so I had to turn around in the Radisson hotel parking lot, hence the Radisson debacle. We could refer to it as the Culver’s debacle and the amount of time it took us to finally get to one, but we prefer using the Radisson.

I’m going to miss her tomorrow when I drop her back off at the bus station. She and Ryan might be moving to Indianapolis though because of Ryan’s work and that would be awesome – even if I would have to put up with Ryan.

Thanks everyone for enjoying the great pictures of me !!

I was not stoned, but the photographer was out of her mind !!

I don't really enjoy laying on the ground, but the front lawn is much cleaner than the living room carpet !
