It's Only Thursday

Is it just me or is this week going by ridiculously slow? I would think that with Linda out of town and work for me to do being almost a steady stream on my desk that the time would go a bit quicker but that is not the case. The days are dragging. I suppose it's because I'm looking forward to the weekend where I have no plans to speak of and I can sleep in. Baxter's actually letting me sleep a bit at night. Last night, he slept the night through except the two times he had to go out to use the bathroom. The only problem is he's a barking puppy. At any noise, he starts to bark and when I let him outside, in the wee hours of the morning, he'll start barking at nothing. I don't blame my sleeping neighbors if they hate both me and Dr. Satan.

Work yesterday was indeed cringe worthy. The dumper was continuously bothering me despite it being obvious that I was working - though it doesn't surprise me that this man doesn't recognize work when he sees it. For some reason, he'll call when he's out of the office and give me a play by play of his scheduled day even though I do not work for this man and though I do quote the occasional job for him, that does mean that I know, or care, about everything he's doing. Shannon, the girl who had this job before me, was talking with me yesterday and was laughing that I have become the dumper's secretary and that when she worked here, every morning she would check the parking lot in search of his car to know what kind of day she would have. Great. Exactly the kind of things I want to hear. But to top it all off yesterday, the dumper, a man who's the same age as my parents, asked me what I was doing for lunch meaning that he wanted to take me to lunch meaning that I nearly threw up in my mouth. Perhaps it was a friendly gesture since it's obvious that I'm a bit stressed this week but still... Ew.

On a lighter note, today is pay day, which is most welcome. Though my check won't be valid until tomorrow, just knowing that I now again have a little bit of money helps me relax some. My student loan payments will start soon and if you know me, you know I'm anal about money and that I need a certain amount to my name. Hopefully, with more adult responsibilities about to kick in anytime soon now, I'll be able to keep my head above water.

Tell Linda everything about the dumper.

Do you have caller ID ? Do not pick up the phone when he is calling in.

This week is going by very fast.

The neighbors do not hate Baxter...
