Headlines

Here is some news for this lovely fall Thursday:

The OC returns tonight with its fourth season premiere on Fox at 9/8c. I've already seen the episode since it's been up for a couple of weeks now on MySpace. You can watch it here if you just can't wait. Not much can be said about the episode. The series took a nosedive after season 2 and has never recovered. And yet, I can't stop watching it. I suppose I'm waiting for Ryan and Summer to get together now that Marissa is dead - the episode starting several months after her funeral.

Good news for both my dad and Melissa. Melrose Place and Beverly Hills 90210 are finally coming out next Tuesday on DVD. The first seasons of the shows that started the teen drama trend are packed with episodes and extras. Admit it Dad. You've been waiting to get reacquainted with Billy and Alison and the rest of the apartment complex cast.

And finally, even though I said I wouldn't, I watched Lost last night. Mr. Eko, one of the few characters on the island I actually gave a damn about and the one that was seeking the most redemption was killed off by that puff of black smoke. I think the next victim to go should be the show itself. Time to put everyone on that island and everyone that watches out of their misery.
