Creativity Not Welcome
Four teenage filmmakers are expelled for making a horror film. I read this story and couldn't believe it. The school superintendent is standing firm on the permanent expulsion decision because the fictional teacher targeted in the movie had the same last name as a real teacher in the school's district. That almost made me laugh. Honestly, I couldn't name ten teachers in my school district and if I was targeting a specific teacher, I wouldn't work on something for nearly a year like these students did as a way of getting revenge. The film, "The Teddy Bear Master", is about a villainous puppetmaster who uses stuffed animals to try to kill a teacher. I used to make home-made horror movies in my basement with all of my friends and never did I once think that I could get expelled for showing creativity.
