A Guide

If you're curious to see what books are worth your time this fall, here's a hit and miss list on all the upcoming and much talked about soon-to-be released books coming out in the next few weeks. I must pick up a copy of Not Enough Indians by Harry Shearer, made famous for his voices behind 'The Simpsons' and parody films including This Is Spinal Tap. I'm sure if he uses the same satirical voice, this is going to be a quick best-seller. Also, other can't misses include the upcoming third season of television show Lost, premiering Wednesday night at 9/8c on ABC and Martin Scorsese's newest movie The Departed, which stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon and Jack Nicholson. Though I'm sure this is going to get Scorsese yet another Oscar nod for Best Director, he's beginning to become the Susan Lucci of the Academy Awards - always a bridesmaid; never a bride.

if scorcese does get nominated, i certainly can't see the Departed being the film that wins him an oscar...so for this...yes, he'll be lucky to be a bridesmaid at all.
