Are You In Or Out?

Project Runway is really getting on my nerves. Don't get me wrong. I watch it every week without fail and every time there's a marathon being shown on Bravo, I know my afternoon is pretty much gone and dedicated to Tim Gunn and the designers making it work. I will never vow to stop watching like some fans do after a particular episode, mainly because it would be an impossible task for me to accomplish. Never watch Project Runway again? I can't do that.

Last night's episode though did anger me with an immediate reaction of "What the f?" when the judges announced the winner. Don't get me wrong. Jeffrey did make a nice dress but it seriously looked like something a Scottish person on crack would wear. When the judges said he won, I was furious. Why would a jackass like Jeffrey who belittles every other designer like he's god's gift to earth win? Because Jeffrey being an ass means ratings and they need to keep him around. The judges are highly influenced by the producers this year. Ahem! Allison out instead of Vincent on the Waste Not, Want Not episode? Still scratching my head over that decision.

And for the second time, Uli was robbed of a victory that she rightly deserved. First was with the Everyday Woman challenge when she should have won for the wonderful outfit she created for Judy, Kayne's mom, instead of having Vincent winning. And now, she should have won this Couture challenge. She actually listens to the judges when they say change it up. No crazy prints this time though the prints she chooses are always beautiful. This dress she created in Paris for this newest challenge was gorgeous and flawless. But apparently, such things are not what the judges are looking for.

On the plus side however, Vincent was FINALLY auf'd by Heidi. It's about time Project Runway. If he had stuck around another week... well, there wouldn't be a crazy threat of never watching again but there would be a threat of some kind. Vincent wasn't a designer. He was some loon they took pity on every week, keeping him around because the producers thought his insanity would boost ratings. But finally, finally some justice in the world. If he had said "It gets me off" when talking about another one of his horrid designs, I would have puked.
